Tokuda Akira とくだあきら, 1946-

Tokuda_Akira_photo (14K) Akira Tokuda was born in Manchuria, China, in 1946. He graduated from the Kuwazawa Design Institute, Tokyo, in 1968. His work is abstract—expertly using bold colors to create simple yet sophisticated prints. He uses an etching and embossing technique with hand applied pastels. His work is then printed onto thick handmade paper to create a rich textural surface.
