Kusaka Kenji 日下賢二, 1936-
Kenji Kusaka was born in Tsuyama, Okayama prefecture. He uses traditional woodblock
printing techniques for his bold compositions. Kusaka's prints are characterized
by abstract or semi-abstract forms in bold colors with strong hues and intensive
use of perspective and gradation. Typical elements used by the artist are egg and cloud shapes.
