Tanaka Ryōhei 田中良平, 1933-
Tanaka
was born in 1933 in Takatsuki, Osaka prefecture and studied at the famed Kyoto
College of Fine Arts under Yoshio Furuno beginning in 1963. Tanaka has since
then gone on to be something of a star of the print. He is in rare group of
Japanese printmakers, in that his works are almost exclusively etchings and aquatints.
