Kabin 花瓶 / Hanaire 花入 (Japanese flower vases) |
||||
Flowers arranged in vases are traditionally an important element of decor in Japanese homes. Arrangements may vary from the simple "thrown-in" style suitable for tea ceremonies to more formal stylings placed on display in the main reception room or made as offerings at temples. Japan also has a long tradition of producing studio art pottery, which may simply be displayed as an aesthetic object in its own right. For more information see Suggested Readings. |
